ABOUT BELLINGHAM EXIT

OCTOBER 8 - 12 • BELLINGHAM, WA

Colorful poster for Bellingham EXIT music festival happening October 8-12, 2025, featuring bands such as Lucinda Williams, Joy Oladokun, Demetri Martin, and more. Illustrated with cartoon characters representing food and musical themes, and includes schedule details and venue information.

Bellingham Exit is back, taking over downtown October 8–12, 2025, with music, art, comedy, dance parties, and curiosities that push past the expected. Think SXSW, Treefort, and Iceland Airwaves, but with a distinctly Bellingham flavor—community-built, art-forward, and cheekily themed around breakfast, lunch, and dinner: Eat Up.

For our kickoff weekend, venues across the city will be transformed into living, breathing installations where artists and fans meet in the in-between. The fun doesn’t stop there. Programming continues through November 1 with special shows, parties, and pop-up surprises.

Festival passes are capped at just 200, giving fans priority access to everything all week long. Single tickets will also be available for those who prefer to dip in.

WHO WE ARE

Bellingham Exit is led by a team of Pacific Northwest industry professionals with deep experience in music, arts, and culture. Festival Director Hunter Motto brings extensive credentials as Music Director for Bellingham Festival and Northwest Tune-Up, Creative Director at Seattle’s historic Crocodile, and alumnus of Western Washington University. Following the success of Northwest Tune-Up, Motto and the Exit team are committed to advancing and elevating the local music and arts community.

To realize the festival’s vision of transforming downtown venues into immersive cultural spaces, Exit is partnering with Bellingham TheatreWorks, a nonprofit founded by Mark Kuntz and Steve Lyons. Their local team of artists will lead the creation of site-specific installations, in line with the organization’s mission to produce stories of significance to the Pacific Northwest.

The festival also features ATE!, a one-day independent art market presented in partnership with Wonderz Market and more than 30 regional vendors and craftspeople. Hosted at 1300 Commercial St and showcases the work of Pacific Northwest makers.

The building features an art deco style with a prominent clock tower topped with a red, tiered roof. There is a marquee over the entrance, with event info displayed, and a green ticket office sign labeled "MBT". The sky is clear and blue.
Front of a bar or restaurant called The Shakedown with outdoor seating, posters on the left wall, and a glass garage door.
